While I was browsing through the books at my local library, I came across the 1902 edition of the Sears Roebuck Catalogue (now known as just Sears). The catalogue contains thousands of beautiful illustrations of watches, ribbons, hats, sewing machines, musical instruments, kitchen utensils, carriages, weapons, furniture, canned goods and everything any American might need or want at the turn of the century. It’s fascinating to look through the catalogue and see items that remain unchanged today as well as things that I wish were still available. Looking through the catalogue was enlightening and educational as well as entertaining. Below are some of the products along with their descriptions that I found quite interesting.
